Reminder—Drying Seeds
Too much moisture left in seeds can very easily lead to seed rot or the development of molds that can spread, often affecting a whole batch of saved seeds. This can lead to a reduction in seed viability and, at worst, the loss of all seed in close proximity.
Drying seeds at home involves air drying. Spreading collected seeds out on a plate or paper towel in a cool, dry area is best, leaving some space for air flow between seeds.
Seeds ideal moisture content varies from species to species, but most require a moisture retention rate between 5 percent and 8 percent. As home growers and savers, our best access to that accuracy is our tried-and-true experiential knowledge.
Dry the seed typically for a few weeks, turning the seeds over, then physically feeling for dampness and using some of your amazing intuition. If unsure, leave out a couple more weeks. 4-6 weeks is ideal for most to be safe, and store in low-humidity environments always!

Gardening is smartest when it is fully controlled by you—from pure, organic seeds to pesticide-free, chemical-free fertilizers to TLC throughout to hand-picked harvests.
CSA's and Farmer's Markets are the next best thing. Choose a CSA or a farm that is organic or wild-crafted.
After that, it's a crap shoot at the grocery store, as some foods are irradiated, some are sprayed (bananas, for instance), and some have additives added even though they are all classified as organic.
Aspartame
The FDA is allowing Aspartame to have its name changed to 'Amino Sweet' or 'AminoSweet'
IIt is a dangerous artificial sweetener found in many of the foods we consume every day, including soft drinks, chewing gum, breakfast cereals, and jams. Aspartame, used as a sugar substitute and often marketed as Nutrasweet and Equal, (aspartame) is an excitotoxin that destroys the brain and body. Its use has been a controversial subject since the 1980s when the CEO of Searle, Donald Rumsfeld (subsequently the Secretary of Defense under George W. Bush), pushed for its approval.
Artificial sweeteners cause cancer, period. Saccharin eventually had to be made with a label, mandated by Congress, that says, “Use of this product may be hazardous to your health. This product contains saccharin, which has been determined to cause cancer in laboratory animals”. The FDA’s own toxicologist, Dr. Adrian Gross, told Congress that without a shadow of a doubt, aspartame can cause brain tumors and brain cancer and that it violates the Delaney Amendment.

A ladies best friend 😍
Red raspberry leaf has been used for centuries and is still regularly used by herbalists. It provides B vitamins, vitamin C and a number of minerals, including potassium, magnesium, zinc, phosphorus, iron, high antioxidant properties, Ellagic Acids.
Great for menstrual cycles, flow, cramps, labor, PMS, morning sickness, losing weight, detoxing, and decreasing problems during labor. As this leaf decreases labor time, some women may want to refrain from its use during the latter part of the pregnancy if they have had a C-section.
Best picked before flowering in the morning when they are dry. They have high oils at this time. You can drink it fresh or dried. Recommend no more than 3 cups a day, 1 cup if pregnant as this leaf raises estrogen levels.
1 teaspoon of crushed fresh or dried leaves in 250 mls of hot water for 5 minutes. Then drink.

Coconut oil was regarded as harmful for the human body because of its high saturated fats content until, in the 2000s, people began questioning the claims of the fake propaganda campaign.
